Schema Compare Reports

SQL Delta generates an HTML formatted report and displays the report within a web browser in SQL Delta. The browser does not need to be installed and is part of the standard group of files that is copied to the SQL Delta executable folder. Since SQL Delta can run stand-alone without the need for an installation process if the Chrome DLLs are not in the executable folder the reports will not be displayed.

There are 6 different reports available for Schema Compare although the last two are the same report just different object.

If Ignore Filters is unchecked then any filters that have been applied to the Schema Compare display will also be applied to the report, although some reports such as Executive Summary may not use filters.

Each report is shown in its own tab. To refresh a report the report tab must be closed first, primarily this applies to changes in filters.

Executive Summary

Display a status report showing each object type (table, view, etc) and the number of Identical, Not In Target (found in source only), Different and Not In Source (found in target only).

Compare Summary

The Compare Summary combines the Executive Summary with a reprint of the compare results grouped by object type.

Compare Details

The Compare Details combines the Compare Summary with displaying the script details from the source and target object.

Current Object

This is the same report as Compare Details however the currently selected object it shown and all other objects excluded from the report

Source Schema or Target Schema

Displays an index of object types with the total number of objects within the group. Below the index a style of tree view for each object type and then all the objects below. Each object is described in a similar manner as the SQL display in the schema compare, compare results.
